Accounts Assistant

Responsibilities: - Perform data entry tasks accurately and efficiently - Assist with accounts payable processes - Perform bank reconciliations - Perform weekly and monthly payroll - Utilise accounting software to manage financial transactions - Prepare timely VAT returns - Support the team in day-to-day operations - Prepare financial reports and documentation such as Management Accounts - Prepare self-assessments either via accounting software or Excel - Act as the key account manager for assigned clients, dealing with any day-to-day enquiries.

Qualifications: - Proven experience in data entry and accounts payable roles - Familiarity with accounting software such as Xero, QuickBooks, and Sage - Strong attention to detail and accuracy in work - Previous payroll experience would be advantageous - Good understanding of accountancy services and processes - Excellent communication skills to interact with colleagues and clients - Ability to work effectively in a team environment - Good time-management skills to effectively manage own workload - A relevant qualification in accounting or bookkeeping would be advantageous.

Pay: £22,212.00-£23,587.00 per year
