**Operations Assistant/Trainee Distiller**

**Role Overview**:
This position serves as a foundational step into the world of distilling, offering extensive learning opportunities and the potential for career progression within our distillery.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Assist in daily distillery operations, including preparing raw materials, operating distillation equipment, and bottling finished products.
- Support the Distillery Manager and other team members in various tasks to ensure efficient operation of the distillery.
- Participate in quality control processes to maintain the highest standards of our products.
- Engage in the cleaning and maintenance of distillery equipment and facilities.
- Assist in inventory management, tracking supplies, and preparing orders for materials.
- Observe and learn distillation techniques and processes under the guidance of experienced distillers.
- Help in organizing and conducting distillery tours and tastings, providing an informative and engaging experience for visitors.
- Collaborate with the team on new product development and experimentation.
- Participate in training and development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge in distilling.

**Requirements**:

- Strong interest in the craft spirits industry and a desire to learn distilling processes.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Good physical condition to handle manual tasks and operate machinery.
- Willingness to adhere to all safety guidelines and quality standards.
- Basic problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Flexibility to work in various shifts and take on different tasks as required.

**Work Location**:
This role is primarily based on-site at our distillery, with hands-on involvement in the production processes and operations.

**Salary**: From £24,000.00 per year
