**Role Overview**
We are looking for a **Head of Corporate Planning & Performance** to join our fantastic Communications, Digital & Corporate Strategy division. This experienced leader will play a crucial role in leading on the development and monitoring of the Group’s corporate action plan, and business planning and performance framework, and to manage the overall team and function.

**Key responsibilities**:

- Performance Framework_
- Lead on the creation, delivery and ongoing development of the Group’s Corporate Performance Framework, including our approaches to strategic planning, prioritisation, monitoring, processes and systems
- Performance Monitoring, Reporting & Engagement_
- Lead on supporting the Executive Management Team with its oversight and governance of performance including at management meetings (e.g. Performance Clinic, Delivery Group, etc)
- Provide strategic support and robust challenge to senior managers on their progress against actions and targets, and with the identification of opportunities and risks, informed by internal and external insights
- Oversee the consolidation and narrative reporting of the Group’s performance to management, board, committees and panels, working alongside the Finance and Data teams, including:

- Ensuring the creation of good quality narrative for performance reporting via senior managers
- Providing validated information and data for the Group’s external reporting (e.g. corporate and customer annual reports)
- Maximise engagement and ownership of the Group’s strategic plans, performance and improvements internally and externally, including briefings, workshops, consultations and activities via the Communications Teams
- Supporting the CEO and Director of Communications to develop a collaborative and performance focused culture among the senior management teams via regular engagement sessions (e.g. Time Out)
- Strategic Planning_
- Lead on the creation and ongoing development of the Group’s multi-year strategic planning cycles including:

- Identifying and mapping one to five-year objectives, key results and key performance indicators across all levels
- Ensuring proposed plans and goals are challenged, challenging and aligned with the Corporate Strategy
- Identifying and embedding cross-cutting targets, including value for money, efficiencies, business transformation and rewards
- The production and maintenance of the Corporate Action Plan(s)
- Lead on the implementation of the annual business planning cycle, including facilitation, guidance, and coordination of planning activities, working with the Finance team to ensure alignment between our financial and strategic plans
- Strategy Framework_
- Lead on the development and implementation of the Strategy Development Framework to ensure consistent and effective sub-strategies, including best practice guidance, tools and template
- Working with the Director of Communications, contribute towards the ongoing development of the Group’s Corporate Strategy, including:

- Supporting the Executive Management Team to identify and coordinate the development and review of the Group’s strategic priorities and goals/targets
- Developing and supporting new and existing areas of Corporate Strategy that help to support business growth, change, improvement and legal/regulatory compliance
- Ensuring plans and goals proposed by the business are embedded, challenged and aligned with the Corporate Strategy
- Ensuring a good understanding of the Group’s strategic direction and plans across the organisation, working with directors and heads of service
- Ensure the provision of advice and support to business sponsors on the development of priority sub-strategies (e.g. IT, assets and people)
- Oversee the management of reviews of new and existing sub-strategies, ensuring they meet agreed standards in line with the Strategy Development Framework and support business sponsors to co
