Role:

- Our client is a leading manufacturer of plastic packaging the UK, and a part of our commitment to zero waste and sustainability, have taken the decision to establish a plastics recycling facility in South Wales
- At the heart of this facility, they have state of the art recycling machinery which can turn plastic film waste into recycled plastic pellets which are used in the manufacture of a wide range of plastic packaging films
- This facility will be capable of reprocessing 15,000t a year of plastic waste produced by ourselves and our customers, and will ensure that we become a major contributor to the circular economy in the region. We are an ISO accredited business, and intendthat this site works to the highest possible quality and environmental standards
Purpose:

- The newly created role of Office Manager is responsible for the smooth daily administration of the site responsible both for coordinating the daily delivery of waste to be reprocessed as well as processing orders for the delivery of reprocessed plastic pelletto customers
Specific tasks:

- Goods In - Coordinating daily deliveries of plastic waste to the site from multiple suppliers
- Ensuring basic quality/acceptance checks are performed. Ensuring material is stored correctly though liaison with Production Manager
- Returning defective waste stock to suppliers and processing credits. Ensuring completion of supplier approval process for new suppliers
- Processing customer orders for recycled plastic pellet
- Liaising with the Production Manager to ensure sufficient stocks of pellet are on hand to meet future orders
- Arranging transportation with haulage providers
- Ensuring customer completion of customer approval and acceptance trial process for new customers
- Processing returns and customer queries
- Collecting and collating staff attendance data for processing by HR/Payroll
- Acting as first point of contact for staff questions and queries
- Administering the issue of PPE, and reordering stocks from suppliers required
- Administering ISO 9001/14001 systems
- Working with site Quality leader to implement and document quality management processes
- Supporting site Quality leader in conducting quality audits and driving quality improvement plans
- Implementing site safety plan in liaison with the Site Safety officer
- Ensuring correct signage, accident books, visitor logs, PPE issue/wearing etc.
Skills and attributes:

- Good standard of general education
- Proven track record of delivering great customer service and administration
- Ideally you will have worked in a similar role in a manufacturing or service environment, in company with ISO or similar quality systems
