**Permits and Accreditation Officer - Anaerobic Digestion**

Toro Recruitment is currently recruiting for a client in the Anaerobic Digestion industry. We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Permits and Accreditation Officer to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to the sustainable energy sector and make a positive impact.

The Permits and Accreditation Officer will be responsible for overseeing EPR Environmental Permits and ensuring operational activities align with permit requirements. You will be required to manage permit variations, track progress, and oversee action plans for improvement. Additionally, you will support other regulatory accreditations and contribute to the management of the Integrated Management System and ISO accreditation.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Lead activities related to permitting sites, including completing and submitting permit variations, tracking progress, and ensuring all requirements are met.
- Communicate new environmental regulations and guidance to the relevant stakeholders, articulating requirements and best practice approaches.
- Support the identification and appointment of qualified third-party partners to support operational activities, monitoring, and testing.
- Oversee action plans to ensure timely completion of recommendations and improvements.
- Act as a professional representative for the company, engaging with regulatory stakeholders, external auditors, and internal teams.
- Maintain regular engagement with regulators and ensure accurate completion of consultation documents and requests for information.
- Collate, analyze, and complete required regulatory reporting accurately and on time.
- Support the management of the Integrated Management System and ISO accreditation.
- Perform any other tasks as required for the role.

**Requirements**:

- Strong leadership and influencing skills, capable of working with directors and business managers.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to prioritize and manage workload effectively.
- Strong data analytical aptitude and the ability to convey complex information articulately.
- Audit management and planning experience.
- Outstanding attention to detail.
- Full UK driving license for business travel.
- Effective stakeholder management skills.
- Practical experience in environmental and waste management.
- Experience in working in a regulated industry preferred.
- Proactive approach to developing knowledge and expertise.
- Flexibility and ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
- Positive and professional work ethics.
