We are looking for a **Finance Manager** to join the exciting Ocado Solutions Finance team on a permanent basis. Hybrid working with 2 days a week in the amazing Hatfield Head offices and 3 days working from home

The **Finance Manager **(FM) will be a key member of the External Reporting team and be responsible for ensuring the accurate production and timely delivery of financial reporting (including the Group's Full Year Results, Half Year Results, and UK Subsidiary entity accounts).

The Finance Manager will interact closely with colleagues across Finance and the wider business to deliver financial statements while embedding a culture of strong controls and continuous improvement.

You will be a key contact in the relationship with the Group's external auditors, supporting the efficient planning and execution of year end audit and half year review.

Provide support in the development and maintenance of the Group's accounting policies in line with current IFRS and other statutory guidance, and embedding those policies within the business.

Plus you will also support the wider Finance Department in ad hoc projects, strategic developments, process improvements, and other finance-related projects driven by the growth of the business

**What else will you be doing?**
- Accurate production and timely delivery of Full Year and Half Year results
- Preparation of UK subsidiary entity annual financial statements
- Management of annual audit and half year review process
- Development and maintenance of the Ocado Group accounting policy manual
- Support in the development of relevant Ocado Group reporting policies and manuals, providing insight across the wider finance community
- Contribute to commercial projects such as acquisitions; providing guidance and advice on reporting implications
- Responsible for driving the year-end and half year-end financial statement reporting processes to produce reporting in accordance with IFRS and relevant statutory requirements
- Responsible for the preparation and presentation of elements within the Annual Report
- Key point of contact for external auditors ensuring planning and execution of the year end audit and half year review are well managed and ensuring information requests and deadlines are met
- Liaising with the relevant departments on the preparation of information for the year-end audit and the half year review
- Ownership of the timely preparation of annual financial statements for the Group's UK subsidiaries
- Helping to embed a strong controls culture in the team and one of continuous improvement
- Assist in implementing new accounting standards and other external reporting requirements, working with colleagues across finance to embed the required processes
- Support in the development of relevant Ocado Group reporting policies and manuals, providing insight across the wider finance community
- Contribute to commercial projects such as acquisitions; providing guidance and advice on reporting implications
- Support ad hoc initiatives e.g. system improvements

**About you..**

You will have successfully completed your finance qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) with experience working in a Finance based role including within a large-scale plc reporting environment (FTSE 250+)

Strong technical knowledge of IFRS and experience of preparing/auditing financial statements under IFRS

Highly numerate and analytical with a keen eye for detail and the ability to consider the bigger picture

Methodical, organised and able to respond quickly to change, whilst demonstrating a proactive approach

Effectively communicate technical matters with both management and non-technical audiences

Ability to build insight and create a story around data linking financial and business information to influence strategic decisions

Ability to build trusted relationships with key stakeholders and be outcome focused; ability to prioritise key activities in order to achieve outcomes

Have a continuous improvement mindset; to continually drive efficiency and performance

An advantage (but not essential) would be to have proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word with skills in ERP and consolidation systems (e.g. Oracle Financials)
