**Role Overview**:
**Key Responsibilities**:

- As governance and oversight of Operations support for UK Legal Entities continues to evolve, work closely with UK Head of Operations to develop appropriate engagement model across all relevant Operations departments, establishing required interface, awareness, and active engagement with the framework.
- Develop fluent understanding of key risk themes for the UK Legal Entities and agreed strategy for remediation. Understand how the firm considers and measures risk, and how this translates in to the regular cadence of risk forums and committees. Partner with EMEA ICG Operations Risk and Control Head to align Operations inputs accordingly and constantly improve quality, consistency and context of management information received.
- Develop fluent understanding of the UK Regulatory & Accountability landscape, in particular the requirements of the Operations and Technology Senior Manager Function (SMF24) and how adherence to this must be evidenced through reasonable steps. Develop minimum requirements on these reasonable steps as a foundation for key governance mechanisms that are implemented.
- Primary ownership of certain governance forums as agreed with the UK Head of Operations
- Primary lead on certain regulatory deliverables as agreed with UK Head of Operations
- Formal tracking of matters escalated to UK Head of Operations and SMF24, with particular focus on pending lessons learned reviews and post implementation reviews. Close liaison with UK Corp Office and the office of EMEA Head of O&T to ensure formal actions are managed ahead of due date. Remain current on all operations key risk metrics impacting UK Operations and UKLV and provide independent challenge to providing departments and escalation as appropriate.
- Develop strong connectivity with client centric Operations functions to understand areas of client satisfaction and opportunities for improvement. Ensure client complaint process is robust and executed in line with Citi policy and regulatory requirements.
- Support UK Head of Operations in periodic review the Management Control Assessment (MCA) entity that monitors compliance with Senior Manager Regime.
- Support the UK Operations Head in meeting governance responsibilities across all statutory senior governance committees and supporting forums.

**Qualifications**:

- Significant relevant experience, legal/paralegal experience an advantage.
- Experienced in Operations with a strong understanding of the regulatory environment in which Citi, and its peers operate. Familiarity with UK Regulatory priorities a distinct benefit.
- Ability to identify key stakeholders and build strong and trusted relationships across the franchise
- Understand how to manage competing priorities and how to influence others to help prioritise a demanding agenda.
