Climate Change is the biggest risk we face. We are planning for future flood scenarios including a 4ºC rise in global temperature and are working with government, local councils, businesses, civil society groups and communities to make our environment a better place for people and wildlife.
Field Operations protect people and the environment by maintaining and operating our flood and coastal risk management assets and responding to incidents.
The purpose of this role is to carry out either professional or specialised business activities providing administrative support for Field Team Leaders. this includes:

Collecting, compiling and updating information, such as timesheets, and expense claim forms. Using this information to create effective, clear and concise reports.
- Inputting and maintaining data ensuring that records are stored in accordance with records management guidelines.
- Raising and managing purchase orders for service providers.
- A number of other duties dependent on business need. (e.g. link with Facilities Management)
- The team- Our field teams protect people and the environment by maintaining and operating our flood and coastal risk management assets (such as pumping stations, sluices and banks) and responding to incidents.
Field teams have a range of technical skills they use to deliver watercourse maintenance, along with asset maintenance and construction projects. The team handle a variety of specialist equipment.
They support the prevention or mitigation of incidents day and night.
- Experience/skills required- Through your experience to date you will be able to demonstrate some of the following:

- A good level of literacy and numeracy skills, with Maths and English GCSE A-C or Functional Skills Level 2.
- Have, or are working towards, a Business Administration Apprenticeship Level 3 (or equivalent qualification or experience)
- Delivery of work by planning, tracking, gathering and maintaining data
- Ability to work on your own initiative and as part of a team
- Good organisational skills and an ability to use MS Office. A willingness to learn how to use specialised systems and to coach other team members.
- Managing multiple priorities and competing demands to achieve short term results.

Most important is your energy, enthusiasm and willingness to learn combined with excellent problem solving and communication skills as you’ll be working with a diverse range of people.
- Contact and additional information- Working part time for Mablethorpe and South Ferriby depots, there is flexibility in terms of days worked, or the opportunity to work full time, from more than one depot.
Everyone starting in a role will be welcomed into the team and given the training and support needed. As part of your comprehensive induction you will be provided with all the equipment required for your role.
