**Blaster**

**Reporting to the Production Manager, your role will be**:

- To blast clean a wide range of substrate materials to required standard of surface preparation as part of coating system or finish product within the timescale set.
- To work with blasting and painting systems and various tools for the completion of goods to customer requirements’ and the specifications given to you by the Production Manager.
- Work on special projects as required.
- Support the Production Manager with respect to Quality assurance evaluation of blasted and painted goods.

**Responsibilities**
- Prepare parts and welded assemblies for blasting, & painting.
- Operating other production equipment and performing tasks necessary to complete product to given specifications and quality requirements
- Preparing and setup of necessary tools and equipment for blasting and painting processes
- Propose potential quality or productivity enhancements i.e. continual improvements.
- Review of finished, parts and product to quality requirements.
- Report production issues and assist in resolutions as required.
- Perform other duties as requested by the department manager.
- Ensure correct PPE is used at all times
- Ensure that all areas of work are in the correct set up adhering to all health and safety policies and procedures laid out to you

**Essential**
- Good communication skills
- Good timekeeping
- Understanding of Health & Safety Procedures
- The ability to work as part of a team
- The ability to work in the correct PPE required to perform the tasks - provided by the company

**Desirable**
- Forklift Driving Licence
- Overhead Crane Licence
- Previous Experience

Training will be provided to all employees. The opportunity to gain your Forklift Driving Licence and Overhead Crane Operator Licence will be available after you successfully complete your probationary period.

**Salary**: From £10.00 per hour
