Job Summary
We are currently seeking an Ancillary Operator to work as part of a busy team in our Closed Die Forge, producing products in line with Customer demand that conform to the Customer specification.

Key Tasks and Accountabilities:

- To work as part of a Team to achieve departmental KPI’S with respect to Right First Time, On Time in Full, Productivity etc.
- Working within the Method of Manufacture and ensuring the required quality standard is maintained at all times.
- Undertake supporting processes based on business need to support product production, including but not limited to, operating Forge Presses/ Tooling / Etch / Waterjet / Shot Blasters / Grinding plus all other ancillary processes.
- To raise non-conformance reports through Quality system, and report to line Manager and Quality Department.
- To record on a daily basis key data and information in accordance with the relevant system and / or process, including but not limited to, logging production throughput data into efacs.
- Encourage and actively contribute to a culture of continuous improvement by performing daily TPM AND 5 ‘s activities.
- To be actively involved in any process improvement or quality investigation with regard to equipment operations or non-conforming product including working with other functions, including but not limited to, Engineering and Maintenance to help identify machining issues, develop solutions and implement improvements.
- Carry out H.S.E checks prior to shift start up.

Experience and Qualifications
- Experience of working in a hot working/forging/metal forming environment or experience working within a manufacturing environment is essential.
- Ability to achieve deadlines and targets consistently
- Excellent time management and organisational skills.
- Attention to detail.
- Good interpersonal skills, particularly team working
