The Offshore Coordination project is a key part of the ESO’s plan to facilitate net zero. This exciting project works in collaboration with the government’s Offshore Transmission Network Review (OTNR) to ensure that the transmission connections for offshore wind generation and interconnectors are delivered in the most appropriate way, considering the increased ambition for offshore wind to achieve net zero.

As part of this the ESO is working closely with BEIS, Ofgem and interconnector developers to assess the industry framework and process changes required to facilitate multi-purpose interconnectors (a combined connection between offshore wind and GB and another country). These roles play a key part in understanding and making the required changes in a collaborative way and contribute to GB’s transition to net zero in a way that minimises the impacts on consumers, the environmental and communities.

**Key Accountabilities**:

- Developing and implementing strategies and plans to facilitate the delivery of the first multi-purpose interconnectors (MPIs) in GB, including relevant changes to charging, codes, connections processes and ways of working.
- Engagement with offshore developers, interconnector developers, European Transmission System Operators (TSOs), EU regulators, Ofgem, BEIS and GB Transmission Owners to seek collaborative solutions to enable greater coordination in the offshore network.
- Working with stakeholders to identify the changes required to facilitate offshore coordination, including internal processes, industry processes, industry codes and standards, and technical and commercial changes.
- Lead the production of high-quality external facing reports, internal and external communications, ESO responses to Ofgem consultations and wider industry engagement pieces.
- Represent the ESO externally as an expert at industry meetings, code panels, working groups and other externally facing events.

**About You**:
We’re looking for energetic self-starters, passionate about driving the energy system transition, and embedding innovation at the heart of the ESO. The key skills we are looking for are - Ability to understand complex industry processes, identify the required changes and work with the relevant stakeholders to implement them.
- Comfortable working in innovative environments, creating new ways of working.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with an attention to detail.
- A good understanding of one or more of the industry code change process, interconnector connection, development and charging processes.
- Proven ability to build high quality relationships both internally and externally and using those to achieve the required outcomes.
- Project Management expertise.

**What You'll Get**:
This role offers a competitive salary between £40,000 - £60,000 per annum dependent on capability. As well as your base salary, you will receive a bonus based on personal and company performance and a competitive contributory pension scheme where we will double match your contribution to a maximum company contribution of 12%.
