Salary: £40,000 - £50,000 pa

Location: Wrexham

**Production Manager Duties**
- Responsibility for the day-to-day management and motivation of the production dept. team.
- To deliver the Unit’s objectives by effectively directing the workforce.
- Responsibility for optimising the effectiveness of the Unit’s resources.
- Manipulation of the operational methodology as required.
- Develop a continuous improvement culture.
- Recommend/propose capitol purchases.
- Financial management information to allow optimum transparency of the departments activities.
- Prepare weekly/monthly summaries of the department’s progress
- Control of the WIP within the area.
- To champion the departments customer service delivery.
- Responsibility for ensuring that all materials and completed work comply with all current, relevant statutory regulations.
- To be the primary point of contact for all relevant statutory bodies, and be responsible for the delivery of compliance, registration, and a positive working relationship as required.
- Responsibility for directing the departments audit programme and ensuring that all necessary corrective actions are actioned and delivered.
- Responsibility for the ongoing development and training of operatives.
- As required, become involved in management issues arising in other Business Units.

**Experience and qualifications**
- At least 3 years experience gained while working at a management level.
- At least 3 years experience of managing staff at all levels.
- Experience of working in a production environment which is commercially focused.
- Experienced in batch and flow production.
- Understanding of Lean Management techniques.
- Educated to third level (degree, HND, NVQ level 4).

**Desirable**:

- Management of an assembly unit with batch and flow production.
- Understanding of Q.C.D.D.
- Post graduate qualification relevant to the needs of the business.
