We specialise in providing a friendly, 5 star, professional service to all our customers and their doggy friends alike. We are looking for a hard working, enthusiastic individual who loves animals and has a passion for working with dogs of all sizes in the great outdoors, and isn't afraid of being scratched, barked, growled and snapped at - and of course licked, kissed and jumped all over

The successful applicant must have a great sense of humour who isn't easily offended - we have fun at work and create a positive working environment that makes us love coming to work. Here at On All Pawz we are a 'work family' who look after each other and enjoy spending time together outside of work also.

**Required attributes**:

- At least 1 years experience of walking all breeds of dogs, in a pack as well as individually, in a professional manner is essential. We require someone who is confident around dogs and isn't afraid of any breed or behaviours.
- A clean, full (manual) UK driving licence - you will be required to drive the business van to collect and transport all dogs to and from their walk.
- A clean DBS record.
- A love for the outdoors, in all weathers. You will be expected to walk for up to 3 hours a day in various locations.
- An unconditional love for dogs and be passionate about animal care and wellbeing.
- Be observant with a good understanding of canine behaviours and body language and be able to react appropriately in a range of situations, often on the spot without much time to think.
- The ability to work in a team, but also as an individual using initiative and a display of responsibility to confidently communicate with dogs and colleagues. You must enjoy being in your own company as the majority of the day you will be working alone, with just the dogs to communicate with.
- Be ambitious and takes pride in your work with great attention to detail and is always willing to improve and adapt to the growing needs of the business.
- A 'can do, will do' attitude, even if the task my seem daunting.
- Reliable, punctual, hard working and trustworthy.
- Confident in working with not just dogs, but the general public too.
- The ability to communicate with customers in a friendly but professional manner.

**Preferred attributes**:

- A qualification in professional dog walking.
- Trained in Pet First Aid would be an advantage however this will be offered free of charge to the successful applicant if not.
- An understanding of how animal GPS trackers work.
- The ability to use an electronic diary.

**Main duties will include**:

- Meet and greet new customers and their dogs before their first walk to gain an understanding of the dogs behaviour and owners requirements.
- Using the business van to collect dogs from customers homes and take on walks. You will be required to pick up, walk and drop off multiple dogs at once.
- Entering customers homes with uttermost respect, either with or without owners present, to collect and drop off dogs.
- Taking dogs on walks to various locations within the local area. You will be required to plan walks which specifically meet the individual needs of all dogs.
- Taking photos and videos of dogs ready to be used on social media platforms.
- Ensuring all dogs are safe during each and every journey and walk.
- Maintaining the cleanliness of the business van each day, cleaning and disinfecting all crates to a very high standard.
- Keep records of all walks including locations and any incidents that have arised.
- Communicate with owners about how their dog is doing when out walking in a pack.
- Confidently provide animal first aid as and when required whilst dogs are in your care.
- Providing excellent customer service to all clients and customers, greeting owners in a friendly but professional manner all of the time.
- Answering the phone and dealing with customer enquiries when required.
- Using the booking software to book clients in for future dog walking sessions.
- Taking payments through the EPOS till system.

**Additional information**:

- As this post involves entering customer's homes, the successful applicant will undergo a DBS check to provide piece of mind for our clients. You must not have any criminal convictions.
- Hours required will be between 10am-3pm, Monday to Friday, additional hours may be offered depending on the demands of our clients.
- Pay will be dependant upon age, experience, knowledge and qualifications.
- Successful applicants will be invited for an informal interview, which will also include a practical task of walking a pack of dogs.
- Required to start ASAP, date to be discussed and confirmed with successful applicant.
