**Seasonal INNS Assistant (West)**

**21 hours per week**

**£21,366 per annum pro rata**

We are looking for an enthusiastic individual to join our team to help deliver the management and control of invasive species throughout Yorkshire, primarily in the West of the region. Our INNS programme is focused on the management of Japanese knotweed throughout the Colne & Calder Catchment.

You will focus on the treatment of INNS (primarily Japanese knotweed) with herbicide with many of the physical tasks being carried out during the summer. You will also liaise with landowners to arrange access for treatment and surveys, input data into the INNS Mapper App and GIS, support practical delivery of our Network 4 Nature post-INNS restoration project.

You will work with the INNS and project team, driving to site and walking to the area for treating or surveying. Physical fitness is essential as we survey over 50km of watercourse a year and treat over 30km of INNS across difficult and challenging terrain. This is a strenuous but very rewarding role, helping native species to thrive while protecting the stability of riverbanks and other waterways. As required, you will receive essential NPTC training in the handling of pesticides and use of a knapsack sprayer.
