**Working Pattern** - Full Time

**Working hours** - 36.25 hours per week (flexi time that will include some 5.30am starts)

**About the Role**

The Rough Sleeper Outreach Worker will also work closely alongside the Housing Options teams and engage with rough sleepers to develop positive housing and support plans, building upon people’s strengths and personal goals. With a resilient and motivational approach, the Rough Sleeper Outreach Worker will need to work flexibly, often outside of usual office hours to locate and maintain relationships with people.

Partnership working is central to the success of the role, with the Rough Sleeper Outreach Worker able to advocate in an assertive, but tactful way with a range of agencies. Influencing decision making and making a contribution towards changing the way systems work is also an important element of the role.

**About you**

We want someone with 1-2 years’ experience in a similar role delivering homelessness prevention activities with a proven experience of working within a multi-functional team. We also want people with experience of dealing with vulnerable people and have an understanding of the factors underpinning rough sleeping. Drive, determination and excellent relationship skills are also important so if you think you have what we’re looking for then please apply.

The goal is to end rough sleeping in the borough, taking a holistic approach towards meeting housing and wider support needs.
