**Rough Sleeper Service Clinician Vacancy Details**

This role presents opportunity to work for Space2Bheard CIC as part of an exciting new partnership with Hull and East Yorkshire MIND, offering a clinical mental health intervention at a safe space hub in Bridlington in the East Riding of Yorkshire, working with people who are currently or have recently been rough sleeping.

There are 2 clinician positions available which will be employed positions at 15 hours per week per clinician. The contract is funded for 1 year, with the possibility of funding being extended beyond this time, so this will be the duration of your contract of employment. The positions will commence 1st April 2023 with the additional expectation that the clinicians will attend a 5-day training programme at the beginning of March 2023 which they will be paid at the salary rate to attend.

There is an expectation that all working hours will be spent delivering directly from the hub and that between the 2 clinicians there will be a presence there 5 days per week.

Applications will be welcomed from Counsellors, Psychotherapeutic Counsellors and Psychotherapists. The post holder will be required to see, assess and treat clients with presentations resulting from traumatic experiences, rough sleeping, substance abuse and relationship difficulties.

The successful applicants will offer a range of clinical interventions to the client group and they will also support the hub staff (navigators) in understanding the client group and how to interact with them.

Previous experience of working with groups would be advantageous but not essential. It is desirable that you have additional training on trauma informed approaches but not essential as training will be provided.

**Job Overview**:
You will be working with clients who ‘fall through the gap’ in being able to access mainstream services due to their living conditions. This contract is to be delivered in Bridlington in the East Riding of Yorkshire in partnership with Hull and East Yorkshire MIND.

**Responsibilities and Duties**:

- To provide quality group facilitation to people who may be reluctant to engage with traditional services
- To devise and deliver psycho-education to individuals and groups, topics based upon information learnt from spending time with the client group.
- To offer one to one therapy to people experiencing a range of presentations related to complex trauma, substance abuse and relationship difficulties.
- To complete comprehensive psychological formulations to inform both clinicians and the hub staffs interactions with the client group. (Training will be provided in this)
- To provide support to the MIND Hub staff in their interactions with the client group
- To upload timely clients notes and additional requirements onto the relevant Electronic Information Recording system
- Communicate effectively with clients, recognising the need for alternative methods of communication to overcome different levels of understanding, cultural background and preferred ways of communicating.
- To be willing to attend supervision sessions as requested by the Clinical Director.
- To attend and participate fully in the specific training required for this role
- To attend meetings essential to the delivery of the service
- To be able to get to and work from the identified site in Bridlington, East Riding of Yorkshire
- To work virtually if required
- Work collaboratively as part of a wider team and recognising and acting on findings from client assessments and examinations, where need for onward referral, investigations and/or alternative treatment is required

**Qualifications and Capabilities**:

- Applications from all modalities will be considered
- To hold an enhanced DBS certificate or be willing to obtain one before starting work.
- To have completed a minimum of 3 Years training in the field of Counselling, Psychotherapeutic Counselling and/or Psychotherapy.
- To have attained a Diploma in Psychotherapeutic Counselling or equivalent.
- To be a Member of BACP, UKCP or equivalent.
- To be a Member of BACP, UKCP or equivalent and to be accredited at level 6 or 7 or working towards becoming accredited.
- To commit to achieve the Continued Professional Development requirements
- To have completed the Children and Adult basic Safeguarding Training within the last 3 years or be willing to do so in a timely manner.
- To be willing to complete the online Information Governance and Prevent Training.
- To be able to commit to attend our regular staff meetings.
- To complete training in and use the electronic patient recording system as required.
- To hold the required personal indemnity insurance or be willing to obtain it before starting.
- To engage in training and supervision specific to this service.
- To have the capacity, confidence, and ability to work in a fluctuating environment with clients with multiple and
