Cheltenham, United Kingdom National Star Full time

Are you looking for a rewarding administration role that supports the health and wellbeing of young people with disabilities?

Join National Star’s team at our Bradbury Gardens residence in Cheltenham located next to Pitville Park and help us manage medication ordering and stock control, for a wide range of students and residents.

You’ll be a people person, able to build strong working relationships with key members of our team, including the residential manager and nurses as well as key people externally such as GPs and local pharmacies.

It may be that you’ve worked in an administration role in a healthcare setting, are a medical secretary or pharmacy administration experience, but that is not a dealbreaker. What’s more important is that you understand the need for confidentiality, are highly organised and will appreciate the need for us to comply with full range of technical pharmacy and clinical governance codes of practice and protocols.

You will be based in one of our residential teams but will be part of a team of medical administrators throughout the organisation, reporting to a lead medication administrator, who will guide and support you as you get to grips with the role. Being able to work on your own initiative is a key skill for this role, as is the ability to keep accurate records of medication for all students and residents.

This is a part time role working Monday to Friday. However you will be required to work 1 Sunday in 4, having a day off during the week in lieu.

**About us**

National Star is a growing charity with more than 1,100 staff based in England and Wales. Established more than 50 years ago, we’ve supported hundreds of young people with disabilities to achieve their potential.

**How to apply**

Please note that all applicants will be expected to undertake a DBS Disclosure, and undergo the necessary employer checks. The level of disclosure to be applied for will be dependent on your job role and will be discussed with you during the recruitment process but is usually an enhanced level. Where appropriate, the adult and child barred lists will be checked and we will not employ anyone who appears on either of those registers.
