To lone work as part of a team of support workers to;
Provide person centred care and support to individual service users which will enable and empower them to live within their own home.

To provide the agreed support as outlined in their individual person centred care plan to meet their physical, social, emotional and personal care needs.

To ensure that all support is provided using a Person Centred Approach.

To ensure compliance with the Trust’s Domiciliary Care Agency organisational policies, procedures and legislative requirements.

Week 1 Monday 07.30-20.15, Tuesday 20.00-07.45, Saturday 09.45-16.50.

Week 2 Monday 17.00-22.30 with sleep in 08.00-09.00, Wednesday 13.45-20.15, Friday 07.30-20.15.

To enable our service users to live the life they require, health care staff will need to have the following characteristics:
- Good listening skills.
- Calm and well-balanced personality.
- Excellent non- verbal communication skills.
- Have a good sense of humour.
- Sensible and confident, calm under pressure.
- Proactive and able to make decisions quickly.
- Able to follow guidelines and care plans.
- Must follow and put boundaries in place

Applicants should be able to demonstrate the following:
- Tolerance of some unusual habits and behaviour, with the ability to divert any behaviour which could lead to danger.
- The ability to develop good relationships with the service user.
- Good verbal and written communication skills, including good literacy and numeracy skills.
- Previous experience of working with people who have a learning disability and some knowledge about mental health problems
- Ability to recognise and manage risk
- Must follow and put boundaries in place
