**Insurance Complaints Handler**

**£25,000 to £30,000 + Excellent Benefits**
We are currently recruiting for an Insurance Complaints Handler on behalf of our client, a leading brand in the insurance market with an excellent reputation.
This is a 35 hour working week position, from Monday to Friday. The role will initially be home based, but ultimately there will likely be an even split of home working and office working in York.
**Responsibilities**
- Handling a portfolio of insurance complaints in a fast paced environment.
- Developing and delivering accurate and effective responses, via both written and verbal communication.
- Resolving complaints amicably, considering any level of redress for distress and inconvenience.
- Acting as a key contact for regulatory and ombudsman referred complaints.
- Supporting root cause analysis activity to identify complaint trends and contribute to mitigating the reputational and financial risk of complaints.
**Requirements**:
- Experience of working within the insurance or wider financial services sector, resolving escalated complaints.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- Ability to challenge the current processes and operations through the use of influencing and negotiating skills.
