**An exciting opportunity within MBDA's Weapon System Design Division**

**The opportunity**:
As a Head of a Subsystem Product Line, you will be the Design Authority for the Maintainer Local Terminal (MLT), which is used across our major air-defence programmes. Your role will be to own the functional design, validation and delivery for future MLT products, and provide support for in-service products.

In this strategic role, you'll report to Project Heads of Subsystems and/or Chief Systems Engineers with main responsibilities of:

- Steering the MLT systems engineering team through the product development lifecycle: Specification, Functional Design, Proving and Qualification
- Bridging the gap between systems design, software and hardware, product security, trials, and safety.
- Leading external suppliers and forging strong partnerships.
- Overseeing programme management, control, and reporting.
- Ensuring top-notch in-service support and proactive obsolescence management.

**What we're looking for from you**:

- Solid experience in system and software engineering product development, coupled with team management/leadership on complex, time-sensitive programmes.
- Requirements management and traceability, systems design (preferably with Model-Based Systems Engineering methods), system integration, verification & validation, and certification.
- Resource planning and people management skills.
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
- Proven project and risk management skills.
