Remote, United Kingdom Solirius Full time

About us

It is this close collaboration with our clients that has enabled us to grow rapidly in recent years and will drive our ambitious future growth plans. We currently have over 250 consultants working with a variety of key clients from both the public and private sectors such as the Ministry of Justice, Department for Education, FCDOS, UEFA, International Olympic Committee and Mercedes Benz; with plans to increase our client base further in the near future.

We operate as a flat organisation and believe in trusting and supporting our team to operate independently. We pride ourselves on being specialists at what we do, making the most of our consultants’ expertise in their fields in order to provide a best-in-class service to our clients. All our consultants have the opportunity to work on a range of different projects, providing a broad range of knowledge on which to develop their careers and progress in the direction they choose.

The role

We are looking for a Graduate Content Designer to join our multidisciplinary team in our Design practice, designing and delivering innovative digital products and services for both our government and private sector clients.

You'll have a creative, structured and logical approach towards understanding problems and designing inclusive, human-centred experiences. You will also have an appreciation of both business and user needs, keen to develop their ‘T-shaped’ skills and not afraid to take on new challenges. Our consultants should be highly motivated self starters, have great interpersonal and communication skills, integrity and a strong desire to deliver the best possible solutions for our clients.

**Main Duties**:
Work collaboratively with teams and stakeholders to produce user-centred content and influence decision-making, contributing to clients’ design systems and setting standards for content design

Participate in user research activities, using research evidence to inform the design of content that meets user needs

Advocate for and ensure high standards of usability, accessibility and inclusivity across products and services

Contribute to prototype development and take part in user testing to improve content interactions

Support and coach teams and stakeholders in the use of user-centred design and Agile methodologies.

Contribute to client proposals and presentations

Support Solirius marketing activities, development of thought leadership content and content calendar

Helping with internal projects and practice development

Typically, you will work on a particular project for 6-12 months before moving onto a new challenge. You will be part of a larger team, working with and learning from experienced consultants. As a consultant within the Design practice, naturally you will work closely with our clients, helping to ensure that the project delivers great outcomes.

**Skills required**:
A good quality degree or relevant professional qualification / relevant experience through an internship or online course.

Genuine interest in human-centred technology and design, either via chosen degree or other means

Excellent verbal and written communication, listening and facilitation skills, and confidence to communicate with stakeholders at all levels.

Technical literacy to understand technical processes, concepts and constraints.

The ability to work within constraints (time, budget, context) to ensure the best outcome for user and client alike.

Problem solving and analytical skills

Willingness to continually learn

Some understanding of the digital development process and Agile methodologies would be beneficial

A portfolio demonstrating experience in the field of design is desirable, but not essential

**Package and benefits**:
Competitive salary, dependent on experience

25 Days Annual Leave + Bank Holidays

Flexibility to work from home

10 days allocated development training per year

Generous discretionary bonus

Statutory & Contributory pension

Free gym membership

Private healthcare cover
