Scottish Water have an exciting opportunity for a Transformation Portfolio Replenishment Lead to join the Transformation Office's (TO) Portfolio Planning & Strategy team.

The Transformation Office’s (TO) Portfolio Planning & Strategy team are responsible for designing and maintaining a sustainable approach to periodically refreshing the Transformation Portfolio, ensuring initiatives are prioritised and sequenced to successfully deliver the objectives set out in Scottish Water’s Transformation plan and overall contribution towards strategic ambitions.

As a Transformation Portfolio Replenishment Lead, you will develop and drive the approach to identify proposals for new transformation initiatives, assessing capability gaps and areas for operational improvement in the business.

You will lead on the initial triaging of proposals, proactively coaching and supporting idea owners to seek information required. You will shortlist proposed ideas, providing insightful analysis to enable key decisions to be made in a timely and consistent manner.

You will support the regular prioritisation and sequencing of existing initiatives, monitoring their health and owning the development of dashboards and reports for key stakeholder groups, including the TO and ELT.

You will support dynamic portfolio design and planning activities, considering the continuous changes in strategic landscape and context.

You will liaise directly with the TO Performance Management and Delivery teams, undertaking regular reviews across Workstreams to track health of initiatives throughout their lifecycle, understanding how they are performing against the plan and identify deviations, ensuring lessons are learned and action plans are tracked through to implementation. Part of this activity is to support the production of detailed analysis from the findings and provide advice and recommended actions to the Portfolio Design Lead that will mitigate any portfolio level risks and bring the plan back on track. This will also include carrying out regular data hygiene checks and taking appropriate steps to ensure they are systematically highlighted so the quality of data and information within WAVE is improved.

You will curiously interrogate data, seeking to identify gaps and generate valuable insights.

You will support the Portfolio Design Lead and GM for Transformation in building storyboards for key stakeholder engagement sessions, gathering input from multiple contributors.

Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, maintain, and deliver a sustainable approach to portfolio replenishment and identification of new proposals aligned to strategic objectives- Own and continuously evolve the initiative triaging and initial prioritisation approach, ensuring alignment to strategic objectives and learning from external best practise, providing a consistent and positive user experience- Collaborate with the TMO on initiative tracking, analysis and prioritisation throughout initiative lifecycle- Reporting on key portfolio OKRs- RAID management- Support of Transformation Planning and Strategy Discipline Forums- Deputise for Portfolio Planning and Strategy Manager as required

Essential Key Skills & Knowledge:
- Experience working in an Agile environment, with a good understanding of SCRUM, Kanban and/or LEAN methodologies- Experience in performance analysis and portfolio/programme reporting e.g. tracking and monitoring portfolio/programme metrics- Strong analytical background and ability to translate complexity into simple messages- Experience influencing and communicating with a wide range of stakeholders, from colleagues in the Transformation Office to Delivery Teams, General Managers, Directors and C-Suite- Experience of working in a project / programme environment, continuously assessing and articulating strategic alignment to Transformation objectives, SW Ambitions and Water Sector Vision- Proficient with PowerPoint, MS Excel and SharePoint- Experience with Power BI

The salary band for this role is £45,873.00 - £58,418.00 per annum.
