**Operations Controller**
We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Operations Controller to join our rapidly growing operations team, which typically operates embedded power projects comprising of reciprocating gas engines, battery energy storage plants and distributed renewable generation projects between 2- 10MWe at 11kV grid level, with several larger plants between 20 - 50 MWe at 33kV, 66kV and 132kV grid level.
Reporting to the Head of Operations Support, the job involves remote monitoring and optimisation of the distributed power generation stations, utilising various SCADA and remote connection software to dispatch engineers where required and analyse operational data to offer insight and diagnosis of ongoing issues.
Predominantly you will be a data-driven individual capable of manipulating large data sets using common software packages such as Excel or PowerBi as well as proprietary data analysis software designed specifically for Conrad’s requirements. Additionally, experience in an engineering role and knowledge of reciprocating gas engines and their operation would be beneficial. Similarly, experience in a front-facing service position would suit this role.
The job also involves the management of a Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS) which is used to schedule planned & unplanned maintenance as well as control stock, inventory and purchasing. As this system is under development you will be involved in both, bulk data input exercises and the general upkeep of the system to agreed processes and policies.
In return, we offer a salary of up to **£30k** plus a **15% discretionary performance-based bonus** as well as other company benefits.

We are Head Quartered in Abingdon, Oxfordshire, our Operations Support team is based in Barnsley, South Yorkshire and our projects cover the UK.
**Main Job Tasks and Responsibilities**
- To carry out all your duties with health and safety as the number one priority. Responsibilities for your own Health and Safety, for the Health and Safety of your work colleagues and any others who may be affected by the operations under your responsibility or control.
- Ensure that plant and equipment is both run efficiently and safely as scheduled by the trading team
- Responsible for the remote operational optimisation of Conrad Energy’s portfolio of generation and storage assets across wholesale and ancillary service markets.
- Ensure accurate execution of commercial strategies into reliable operation for power and gas trades
- Working from the operations support desk in Barnsley you’ll oversee, manage and optimize incoming engine alarms, ensure they are recorded correctly, and the best available person is dispatched to resolve if remote restart is not an option.
- You will be confident with verbal and written communication to all levels in the business. The main lines of communication will be between The Power Trading Team, The Field Engineering Team and the other Administrators and Operators in the Operations Support Team
- Using the large amounts of data available from the equipment on site you’ll be able to spot trends and present findings of data analysis concisely.
- In the management of the CMMS system you will keep accurate records and assist with data upload, sorting and cleansing to maximise the value of the stored data
- The role will also include shift work covering weekends, late evenings and early mornings with the intention to move to 24/7 cover in the next 18 months. Unsociable hours will benefit from pro-rated higher hourly rates of remuneration.
