**Job overview**:
**_Do you have empathy and passion to support women experiencing perinatal trauma and/or loss? Do you have experience of working within perinatal services or an interest in perinatal mental health and willingness to learn more about working within this field?_**
Our dedicated team is seeking to recruit a **substantive** **Band 7 Psychological Therapist, 0.6 wte** and we also have an opportunity for a **fixed term post** to cover maternity leave. The therapist must have an accredited core therapy training. The role involves delivering evidence-based interventions to support women and birthing people who have experienced mental health difficulties relating to their birth experience, including Birth Trauma, fear of childbirth (Tokophobia), baby loss and separation from their baby due to Children’s Services involvement. Experience at working with individuals with complex or single event trauma and/or loss is desirable but not essential, as is training and experience in delivering either Trauma-focused CBT or EMDR.
**Main duties of the job**:
Interventions currently offered by the team include CBT, EMDR, Compassion Focused Therapy and CAT. The role will involve liaising with other health care teams and supporting families with possible safeguarding risks.

**Detailed job description and main responsibilities**:
This fantastic opportunity has arisen to be involved in the continued development and delivery of a specialist birth trauma and perinatal loss service. The Lotus Maternal Therapeutic Outreach Service launched in June 2021 as a pilot site chosen to develop and trial a Maternal Mental Health Service (MMHS) as part of the NHS Long Term Plan. Together with the wider perinatal service, the Lotus team was awarded ‘Team of the Year’ in the NSFT Staff Excellence Awards 2022. We are a small, dedicated team comprising of Clinical Psychologists, Peer Support Workers and Specialist Midwives, offering specialist assessment and psychological interventions to women and birthing people.
