Norwich, United Kingdom Norfolk and Suffolk NHS Foundation Trust Full time

We are seeking an enthusiastic and skilled Psychological Therapist to join the South Norfolk Youth Service. This service works with young people between the ages of 14 and 25 who are experiencing complex mental health difficulties.

We are happy to consider a newly qualified psychologist who would be appointed at a band 7. We would also consider appropriately qualified therapists on their accreditation pathway and would initially appoint as a band 6 until they have achieved accreditation.

The post holder will provide direct clinical work as well as supervision and consultation within the team. The post-holder will have an interest in working with trauma, complexity and incorporating families into their work.

They will be trained in evidence based NICE recommended psychological therapy for adolescents and young adults and be accredited with BABCP, ACAT or UKCP.

This is an exciting time for Youth Mental Health services and our service is at the forefront of these developments. There are strong research links both locally with UEA, nationally and internationally with staff from our service presenting at the recent International Youth Mental Health Conference in Brisbane. The post holder would have the opportunity to help with the ongoing transformation of the service. As part of the Child, Families and Young people’s service line there are also opportunities to work as part of a wider psychology team, including developing training, online resources and supporting reflective practice.
