Administration Assistant

The post-holder will be responsible for dealing with general correspondence, incoming referrals and reports, as well as undertaking general administrative duties within the Team and office environment.
This post will provide fantastic opportunities for individuals who have administrative experience and who are looking to become part of a dynamic and high performing team.
You will demonstrate excellent organisational skills, be flexible in approach, and be able to demonstrate a consistently high standard of professionalism, being aware of the need for confidentiality and integrity. Fundamental to this post is the ability to multi-task and effectively manage your workload working to tight deadlines.
You will be a member of a team of clerical support staff providing secretarial and administrative support to the Neurosurgery Department which will include support to the consultants, junior medical staff, trauma coordinator and any other staff.
You will support the efficient channelling of communication between medical staff, GPs, patients, relatives, members of the public and other disciplines within the Trust.
You will demonstrate excellent organisational skills, must be flexible in approach, able to exercise initiative and demonstrate a consistently high standard of professionalism, being aware of the need for confidentiality and integrity

**Duties to include, but not be limited to**:
- Responding to external and internal telephone queries from staff, patients and others and referring to appropriate person.
- Arrange Meetings.
- Organising incoming and outgoing post, referring enquiries to appropriate person if necessary.
- Communicates with a range of staff, users and visitors to the Trust / Department utilising a variety of communication methods including verbal, electronic and passing information in a format that is appropriate to the individual request.
