Apprentify are hiring on behalf of our client, looking for a Communications Assistant Apprentice to join their sunny team in their sunny offices in sunny* Market Harborough. *weather unfortunately not guaranteed.
The client is an established, independent PR consultancy and communications agency in the hair industry, housing a close-knit team of 15; expert copywriters, content creators, digital experts, marketeers and hairdressing communicators.

The agency is renowned for delivering successful campaigns to answer sales-driven strategies across all communications channels for a portfolio of professional and consumer hairdressing brands, salons, barbers and individual hair professionals.

This is a dreamy apprenticeship for an individual curious to explore PR in all its forms: print, digital, advertising, events, social media, brand marketing and business profiling. For those who find themselves intrigued by a marketing hook, interested in how a brand built its profile and media & social sorcerers scrolling in the depths of trends on TikTok.

**The role**:
As Communications Assistant, the purpose of this role is to support the account managers within the team to deliver professional, high-quality goods/services and measurable results to LWPR clients.

The LWPR team prides itself on its multi-faceted PR expertise, including writing; creative thinking; art direction; presentation; outstanding relationships; profile building; brand awareness and event planning. In this role, you will deliver excellent administrative functions and high levels of assistance to both LWPR clients and to the LWPR team.

The role requires organisational, IT and excellent verbal and written skills balanced with creative thinking and a curious approach. The work you would be supporting would be the super-important tasks on:

- Liaising on campaigns, events & shoots
- Booking models
- Proof reading releases, features & advertorial
- Research projects
- Inputting ideas into concept documents for client campaigns
- Keeping track of costings
- Pitching press releases
- Sourcing hairdresser quotes
- Keeping on top of tasks from start to finish
- Communicating with the account managers
- Excellent verbal and written communications with clients, partners & suppliers

You will be the kind of person who
- creates reels for their own social media in their everyday life
- is interested in trends and follows hair and beauty influencers
- is “the organiser” in their friendship group, finding the hottest new restaurant openings, exhibitions and pop-ups
- always spots a typo or a grammatical error
- takes in the detail, taking notes and asking questions to understand the process or task in hand
- is motivated, flexible and innovative, with ‘can-do’ attitude, always finding solutions to challenges

Entry requirements
- Grade C/level 4 in English and Maths GCSEs
- Competency in Microsoft office suite experience (Excel is essential)
- Design skills in Canva or similar design suite would be beneficial
- An openess to learn and a willing attitude

Training to be provided

You will undertake the groundbreaking Apprentify PR and Communications Level 4 apprenticeship.

- Content Distribution
- Content Evaluation
- Digital PR

During your classroom sessions, you will learn key skills and knowledge required in the PR industry including how to manage PR campaigns, how to manage your online reputation, how to produce content for PR campaigns and how to target content appropriately for maximum impact.
