The Oxfordshire CAMHS Getting Help (GH) and Getting More Help (GMH) teams provide a community based service to children and adolescents (CYP) who are experiencing mental illness, those who may require a formulation of ongoing difficulties, as well as standardised, short-term interventions.

In this role, you will have a key role in developing, implementing, and running of a new programme which supports CYP and their parents and/or carers to engage with the CAMHS offer from the moment that they start accessing the GH and GMH services. In addition, the post holder will support the implementation of new lived experience roles within CAMHS, as part of this new offer.

We are looking for someone with relevant proven experience/skills and a passion to work in partnership with CYP and parents/carers to improve the quality of services, as well as empower recovery, and support engagement with the current clinical pathways.

We'll need you to be enthusiastic, self-motivated, flexible and work creatively to find solutions. Being an excellent communicator to engage a wide range of people is important, as is good organisational skills.

The service is delivered by multi-disciplinary teams who are able to deliver a range of evidence-based therapeutic interventions. Our service is currently developing to ensure that involvement of families and carers in treatment and support is part of the core offer, and we are currently recruiting for a number of new roles and positions.

**Main duties include**:

- Provide a welcoming environment to children, young people, and their parents and carers entering the service, by providing them with information and support, and regularly reviewing their needs
- Implement specific areas of the care plan that have been planned and designed by senior clinicians in the service, in a variety of settings. To promote a therapeutic relationship with agreed boundaries and time scales.
- Provide clinical guidance and support to peer support workers, as required.
- Co-lead facilitate therapeutic groups and workshops.
- Develop educational tools for clients and their families and other professionals, and promotional material in relation to the service’s operation.
- Collate and interpret data, with support as required, in relation to young people waiting for the GH/GMH service and where needed review themes or needs, and develop further support in line with new/ emerging difficulties
- Alongside senior clinicians, lead on the development of the format, content, and processes related to the GH/GMH engagement offer

We offer further training in leadership/quality improvement, and regular opportunities for supervision and case management. We're undergoing significant service development (following introduction of the Thrive model), and there are a number of new posts available.

The post will be supporting Oxfordshire CAMHS, who provide a range of support to children and young people, from early intervention to complex risk management and treatment of mental health disorders.

In this role, you will closely link with the new Anxiety and Depression (AnDY) Clinic, and GH and GMH teams across the county, as well as with the CAMHS Participation Lead.
