**Payroll Team Lead**

Here at Dains, we are recruiting a Payroll Team Lead to join our highly successful and client focused payroll team.

Managing a team of three, you will be pivotal in the delivery of key departmental projects focused on providing service excellence. You will support our ambitious growth plans, onboarding new clients as they transition to Dains. A small client portfoliowill also allow you to build and maintain great relationships on the payrolls you deliver.

You will join a growing department of fourteen, where we have genuine development opportunities available and structured personal development plans to support you to achieve your ambitions and personal goals.

We are a firm of accountants & business advisers, who operate from five offices in the Midlands and have 32 Partners and Directors and over 200 staff.

**KeyResponsibilities as Payroll Team Lead**:

- Manage a team of three payroll technicians, taking responsibility for developing, coaching, and mentoring.
- Own and deliver a small client payroll portfolio
- Lead and support with key departmental projects, delivering our ambitious growth plans
- Onboard new clients, adding value to the client whilst ensuring a seamless transition to Dains
- Be the first point of escalation for client, support difficult conversations proactively
- Support team members to maintain excellent relationships with clients
- To add value to the client’s business by identifying opportunities and referring to other specialists in the firm.

- Demonstrates flexibility and has the ability to manage multiple tasks and assignments.
- Organised and able to deliver against tight deadlines
- Able to interrogate data and processes to deliver accurate results
- CIPP qualification is desirable.
