**JOB ROLE: Security Officer**

**LOCATION: NORWICH**

**HOURS OF WORK: 42 hours per week (average)**
- **The Role**:
We are recruiting for passionate and driven Security Officers to work with us at one of our prestigious Security Contracts in Norwich.

**Job Description & Basic Duty Summary**

Job Purpose: To provide a proactive security/front of house service at our client site, working to the clients site security instructions at all times to ensure that our client’s premises are protected and secure at all times.
- Customer Service delivery
- Control access out of hours in line with site instructions
- Regular foot patrols of the premises and/or buildings
- Locking of on site buildings as staff leave
- unlocking of site buildings in the morning
- Ensure required site Health and Safety procedures are followed at all times.
- Other duties include, but not limited to:
Reception duties, Access control, call handling, greeting visitors and contractors along with issuing visitor passes and site inductions.

There is a requirement for the successful applicant to undergo enhanced Security Screening in line with strict Client requirements
- **KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS**
- Valid SIA Security Licence ( Essential )
- A good working knowledge in the security industry. ( Essential )
- Ability to work under pressure and handle emergency procedures ( Essential )
- Organised and able to prioritise ( Essential )
- Great interpersonal and customer facing skills. ( Essential )
- Excellent timekeeping and a flexible approach to work ( Essential )
- Proven record in a customer/Client focused role ( Essential )
- IT literate ( Essential )
- Hold a full UK driving licence ( preferred )
- Own transport ( preferred )

**REQUIREMENTS OF THE SECURITY OFFICER**
- Vetted to BS7858 Standard with 5 year checkable work history
- Clear communication skills
- Excellent customer service skills
- High Level IT Skills

**Salary**: £10.70 per hour
