Summary
We have redesigned our housing services and put in place a NEW Housing Asset Maintenance Team. We’re now growing a team of proactive and enthusiastic people who want to play a pivotal role in delivering maintenance services across the stock of council-owned properties in Wiltshire.
**About the role**
Our Area Maintenance Surveyors work at the heart of delivering and improving both planned and reactive repairs.
In this role, you will ensure the appropriate corrective work happens by carrying out inspections of building defects. On these inspections, you will warrant effective and appropriate repair solutions that fulfill all current and applicable regulations.
You will be responsible for monitoring performance through site visits; liaising and negotiating with contractors, clients, and other professionals to ensure contracts are delivered to time and cost constraints.
**About You**
To be a successful Area Maintenance Surveyor you should be someone who has:
- Experience and knowledge of building repair, maintenance, and refurbishment.
- You will need to be able to gather and interpret data and information.
- Produce reports and monitor information.
- Strong communication skills to engage with contractors, in-house surveyors, contract officers, and management.
