Sanctuary Personnel, a leading recruitment company within the private and public sector has a permanent role for an Occupational Therapy Assistant to work full-time based in Birmingham.

The salary for this permanent Occupational Therapy Assistant job is negotiable.

The hospital provides a diverse range of inpatient services, including acute and psychiatric intensive care, Child and Adolescent Mental Health, specialist Eating Disorder (including day care) and private acute and addictions treatment programmes.With78 beds across 7 wards, the multi-disciplinary teams deliver personalised treatment programmes to patients and have established an excellent reputation for providing the highest standards of care.

**Main Duties**:

- Support our patients to engage in self-care, productive and recreational activities. This will be achieved through the planning and facilitation of 1:1 and group interventions.
- Work alongside the Occupational Therapist and members of the multidisciplinary team to identify the patients' Occupational Needs.
- Responsible for observing, recording and reporting patients involvement in 1:1s and groups.
- Observe and monitor the well-being of patients ensuring that any unusual physical, mental or emotional occurrences are promptly referred to more senior staff and documented as appropriate.
- Ensure the effective, timely and accurate updating of clinical records and computerised information systems as directed by the Occupational therapist.

**Requirements of the Occupational Therapy Assistant**:

- Degree or equivalent within Occupational Therapy.
- HCPC registered as an Occupational Therapist.
- Experience of working as an Occupational Therapy Assistant.
