**Join Age UK Norfolks Information and Advice team**

Are you highly organised, empathetic, andpassionate about ensuring older people have access to quality to information and advice? We need you

**Main Responsibilities**
- To provide information and advice to older people, their carers and professionals, by a variety of means including telephone, face to face, written, outreach and IT communication
- To maintain accurate records in accordance with the confidentiality and audit procedures.
- To work collaboratively with partner organisations ensuring that appropriate signposting is undertaken and consent obtained.
- Provide support to the I&A service volunteers contributing to their volunteer experience
- To assist with training of new members of staff and volunteers
- To use approved and relevant resources to support the information and advice given and notify the I&A Manager when stocks are low or need updating
- To work as part of the wider Information, Advice and Advocacy Team, giving and receiving support in a cooperative and collaborative way to both staff and volunteers.
- To represent Age UK Norfolk at Information events as required

**General**:

- To act as an ambassador for Age UK Norfolk.
- To participate in the appraisal scheme and undertake training appropriate to the development of your job role and in line the Organisations statutory obligations.
- To work to the agreed standards and policies of the Organisation including public relations; equal opportunities; confidentiality; complaints procedure; personnel and financial procedures.
- To carry out other duties that are consistent with the duties and responsibilities of the post.

**This is a part time post of 18 hours per week (Working pattern to be agreed with the **successful** applicant)**

**This role will be based from our Norwich Office - Henderson **Business** Centre**

**This role will require a DBS check.**
