**ABOUT YOU**

We are seeking a Support Supervisor to join the Team in our Whitefoord House Residence Motivated, dedicated and enthusiastic, you will assist management in the day-to-day provision of the housing support service to residents. This includes proactively managing and mentoring a team of support staff, ensuring own and supervised staff compliance with the standards set by the relevant regulatory and statutory bodies including Care Inspectorate and Scottish Social Services Council.

With previous experience **leading teams in a social care environment **working**. **Ideally you will also have an understanding of the supported housing sector and be able to demonstrate a track record of contributing to high quality services. You are reliable, consistent, focused, and flexible in both your outlook and approach.

This post is required toParticipate in on call arrangements for out of office hours support to staff.

Scottish Veterans’ Residences (SVR) was established in 2019 following the merger of SVR and Scottish
Veterans’ Housing Association. We date back to 1910 and we are Scotland’s oldest military charity. We undertake charitable giving and provides supported housing for homeless Veterans and former members of the Merchant Marine who are in need. As well as person-centred housing support we offer a range of recreational activities and a counselling service.

**About you**

You are a dynamic and enthusiastic individual who will assist management in the day-to-day provision of the housing support service to residents and including supervising Housing Support staff.

Standards.

You may have previous experience supervising staff dedicated to providing excellent housing support services and tenancy management.

You will hold SVQ Social Services & Healthcare at SCQF Level 3.

In addition, you will have a proven understanding of the supported housing sector and be able to demonstrate a track record of delivering consistently high-quality services. And, you are reliable, consistent, focused, and flexible in both your outlook and approach.

**Main responsibilities**
- Supervising Housing Support staff to ensure the quality and delivery of housing support service in accordance with our Vision, Values and Mission.
- Proactively lead and motivate Housing Support staff in the performance of their duties in accordance with their job description.
- Manage allocated caseload of residents Housing Support planning and compliance with their occupancy conditions.
- Ensure own and supervised staff compliance with the standards set by the relevant regulatory and statutory bodies including Care Inspectorate and Scottish Social Services Council.
- Ensure own and supervised staff evidence high quality housing support services and associated functions to residents via our quality assurance framework.
- Ensure own and supervised staff compliance with General Data Protection Regulations.
- Ensure own and supervised staff compliance with risk management requirements.

**Staffing responsibilities**
- Supervise and support allocated staff in accordance with published policies and procedures.
- Supervise and support staff to identify and complete, and encouraging participation in, formal and informal training.
- Monitor working rotas and highlight issues to management.
- Ensure and support Housing Support staff to comply with staff handbook.
- Participate in on call arrangements for out of office hours support to staff.
