Grimsby, United Kingdom Tree House Care Fostering Solutions Ltd Full time

**Treehouse Care Fostering Solutions Ltd**

**Role**: Children’s Residential Home Waking Nights Care Worker (Permanent Contract)

**Hourly Rate**: £11.01 per hour, or £11.51 per hour if you have Level 3 NVQ Diploma in Health & Social Care or above, or once the qualification is gained.

**Hours**:up to 3 shifts available x 9.5 hours

**Location**: Grimsby

**Interview Date**:Thursday 27th April 2023

**To apply**:
1. Send your up to date CV and covering letter.

**Essential**: The willingness to work toward a fully funded NVQ Level 3 Diploma in Health & Social Care.

We are looking for 1 applicant to join our waking night team of care workers at our Grimsby-based children’s residential home.

You will need to be warm, empathetic and have a desire to support our children with developing their communication, practical and day-to-day skills.

Our children may have Autism, learning difficulties and complex needs. Some may also need help with their personal care or maybe just helping in the right direction. Our team are all calm, kind, conscientious people that take care of our children’s everyday needs.

As a team you will help to encourage our children to maintain and learn new social, educational and life skills. The personal care that you provide for our children will respect their rights to privacy, dignity, and individuality.

Nightly tasks are varied and interesting and two nights are never the same. You will be ensuring that the home is clean and safe by undertaking household tasks, such as washing, ironing, cooking, assisting with personal care and administering medication.

You will play a key role in the smooth running of the home and have a good grasp of safeguarding, Health and Safety, and also hygiene. This is a role in which attention to detail really counts and one that touches the real lives of people every day.

It is essential that you have experience providing compassionate primary care to young people and children or even caring for a loved one, perhaps as a parent. You will be expected to be a good listener and show a genuine interest in our children’s needs; being an effective communicator verbally or by using sign language is key to this role. (We do give training in Makaton and Pecs, so this is not essential).

Due to the nature of our organisation it is of primary importance that you understand what confidentiality means. The role requires completion of paperwork, so it is a must that you have basic literacy and numeracy skills.

We are looking for staff who are honest, dependable, reliable and show a willingness to learn and use their initiative to optimise our children’s care.

You will be provided with a more detailed Job Description and Person Specification if selected for an interview.

Treehouse Care Fostering Solutions Ltd respects equal opportunity and we are a Disability Confident Employer.

This includes training in Makaton and Pecs, Attachment & Trauma and Caring for Autistic Children. We are committed to caring for our children in a creative, innovative, and imaginative way to help them to achieve their full potential.

**Why choose to work for us?**

Under the guidance of our experienced Registered and Deputy Managers you would be joining a friendly team of care workers who are committed to delivering the best possible experiences for our children.
