- Do you hold a valid FLT Licence? _

Our client based in the Kingswinford area is seeking a Senior Warehouse assistant to work with them on a permanent basis. The successful Warehouse Assistant will help with the management and organisation of the warehouse.

**What's on offer?**
- Circa £25,000 per annum - dependent on experience
- Mon - Fri: 8:30am - 5:15pm - with 1 hour lunch
- 20 days holidays + Bank Holidays - increases with service

**Key Responsibilities of the Senior Warehouse Assistant**:

- Reporting to the Warehouse Manager
- Assisting with the organisation and management of 4 warehouses and off-site storage
- Planning for incoming deliveries, liaising with the Operations Planner
- Stock rotation and control of goods expiry dates
- Monitoring damages and discrepancies
- Accurate picking and packing of consignments
- Safe load and unload onto/from vehicles
- Booking in deliveries and updating warehouse schedules and spreadsheets
- Develop procedures to ensure key customer requirements are adhered to
- Maintaining a clean and safe warehouse, ensuring adherence to regulatory guidelines including safe storage of goods
- Use of appropriate PPE and manual handling techniques
- Warehouse Health and Safety checks
- Liaison with freight and courier companies
- Operating FLT
- Disposing of waste in an environmentally compliant manner

**The Successful Senior Warehouse Assistant**:

- Experience within a stores environment
- FLT Counterbalance licence
- Experience of working in a chemical store preferred but not essential
- Nominated Storekeeper qualification (or willing to attend 2-day course with examination)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong numeracy and IT skills including Excel proficiency
- Knowledge of Sage X3 helpful
- Highly motivated and able to work under pressure
- Strong organisational skills, flexible and proactive approach
