It's an exciting time at Sense as our team is expanding We now have a fantastic opportunity for a Community Support Worker to join our team in Solihull. Our Get Out There (GOT) Service supports children and young people with their social programme of activities.
This will be a permanent role, with contracts available for between 4-6 hours per week in Solihull. The hours will be varied and could be after school, on the weekend or during school holidays. A full UK license is required and must have your own vehicle as you will be required to drive and take the individual you support out in the community.
The great thing about Sense is that you don’t need to have previous experience in this field - we’re happy to work with you to help you become an excellent support worker.
As a GOT Service Community Support Worker, you will be supporting a child on a 1:1 basis who has autism and is profoundly deaf. The individual enjoys taking parts in loads of activities out in the community, such as; Visiting farms, going to soft play and going to the park. They also enjoy listening to music, jigsaws and sensory play.

To support individuals / groups within the centre and community.
To provide a customised, responsive and high quality service to people with multiple sensory impairments, physical and/or learning disabilities who use Sense services.
To deliver services which meet or exceed organisational expectations and standards. Your required skills and experiences:
A full manual UK license is required and you must have your own vehicle.
You don’t need to have previous experience in this field, nor do you need qualifications - we’re happy to work with you to help you become an excellent support worker.
Must be able to work as part of a team and keep accurate records.
