Applications are invited for the following post within the dynamic world of Work Based Learning.

The post is concerned with the delivery of the Job’s Growth Wales + programme, which is Welsh Government’s flagship programme for 16-18 year olds who wish to progress to paid employment, an apprenticeship or another form of further learning. Learners are guided through their programme by a dedicated team of officers who provide support and training in order for the young person to succeed.

**ADDITIONAL LEARNING NEEDS SUPPORT OFFICER (SUB-CONTRACTED)**

£10.00 - £12.00 per hour - rate is negotiable (21 - 37 hours per week)

This opportunity will suit an individual who will enjoy working with young people and helping them to progress from the JGW+ programme.
- Supporting groups or individuals to allow them to access mainstream provision.
- Monitoring and supervising individual or groups of learners.
- Assisting with record keeping associated with individual learners.
- Signpost and liaise with external agencies to maintain their health and well-being.
- To develop materials and resources to support learner achievement.
- To support learners with identified support needs in the undertaking of written and practical work in a group or one to one situation.
- To listen to learners and take a pro-active approach to assisting and advising them with their additional learning needs.
- To work with the programme leaders to develop and adapt learning materials, resources and activities to meet the needs of individual learners.
- To provide progress updates on individual learners and contribute to individual learner reviews.
- To support learners with participation of activities both in and out of the centre.
- You will need good literacy and numeracy skills and competent digital literacy skills. The use of an e-portfolio and digital training records are central to the role. Training will be provided in these areas.
- The role will be based in Llanelli but you may sometimes be required to work in other centres and at external venues.
- You will need a clean driver’s licence and access to your own vehicle.
- A full DBS check is required for this post and you will register with the Education Workforce Council.

- A-Level or equivalent (preferred)

- Driving Licence (preferred)
