**JOB TITLE: Check-In Agent (Red Handling)**

**LOCATION: Gatwick Airport, RH6 0NP**

**CONTRACT: Fixed Term**

**PAY RATE: £11.25 per hour**

**ROLE OVERVIEW AND PURPOSE**

**This position is a part time role - 20 hours**

Your role will be to ensure a smooth passenger journey through the airport by assisting, welcoming, and engaging with passengers. Providing all necessary help and support as required by our customer airlines, with a strong focus on delivering exceptional customer service

**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Work collaboratively with the Airport Teams, Airlines, and other ABM teams
- Passenger hosting and check-in activity, including promoting the use of self-check-in and bag drop
- Resolving issues as they arise and answering questions
- Carrying out relevant documentation checks and processing passengers for travel in accordance with regulatory and compliance rules
- Support long-haul gate operations as required, including queue management and cabin baggage
- Identifying revenue opportunities including excess baggage and upgrade sales
- Ensuring customers who require extra assistance are accommodated
- Customer service and hosting, Baggage Tracing, Retail/Promotions, Aircraft Cleaning (will be required to pass Counter Terrorist Check)
- You will find yourself working as part of a team or placed within other stakeholder teams to support various operations
- Always maintaining the highest standards of safety and security
- Have a high level of professionalism when working alongside colleagues, customer airlines and passengers
- Ensure that the best possible customer service is applied to all airlines customers and ensure highly professional communication to airline staff and crews
- Ensuring that we are providing the best service delivery for our customer airlines
