**Grant Fundraising Consultant**
We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Grant Fundraising Consultant to join an exciting charity that aims to be the natural choice for emotional, befriending and advocacy support to cancer patients.
**Position**: Grant Fundraising Consultant
**Location**: Milton Keynes
**Hours**: 8 hours per week (to begin with)
**Salary**: £120 per day

**About the Role**
We require an experienced Grant fundraiser to regularly research and write various grants to enable Al’s Pals to continue providing support for cancer patients in hospital, at home, online and in the community.
Key responsibilities of the Grant fundraising consultant include:
- Thoroughly researching funding opportunities to determine each funder’s motives and requirements
- Keeping regular records of all communications and activities
- Reporting and liaising with the CEO monthly
- Good understanding of the charity sector and market trends and opportunities
- Demonstrate examples of grants they have won previously
**About You**
We are ideally looking for a highly experienced Grants fundraiser who can contribute towards the development, sustainability, and growth of the charity. This role could potentially suit someone starting to get back into work, semi-retired or just lookingfor a role to enjoy and give back to a worthwhile and thankful charity.
To succeed in the role of Grants Fundraising Consultant your key skills will include:
- Outstanding written communications skills
- Ability to prioritise, organise and manage own workload
- Computer literate
- Ability to work from home
**About the Organisation**
The employer is an independent charity that provides emotional and practical support to cancer patients. It was named after one of its patients Alan Dumbell. He felt that although he had loving family supporting him, he still felt lonely and lost at timesand to have someone to talk to that understood what it is like to have cancer or support someone through cancer would have meant the world to him at this time.
Their wonderful volunteers can support patients by sitting with them at appointments or on the ward, providing support to the patients and their families by referring them to relevant services, and providing telephone support at home and they can also bethere at end of life. Their aim is to be your 'pal' and be that person that can eradicate stress from the patient and their family.
