**Showroom and business development assistant (part-time)**

With a fabulous showroom in the heart of lively Clerkenwell, we also have our headquarters in the pretty market town of Ross on Wye in Herefordshire. Our family-owned business has a long-established reputation for producing high-quality heritage, bespoke and contemporary lighting products.

We are pleased to announce that we have an exciting new opportunity in London for a Showroom Manager. You will be joining a sociable, lively and integrated team of professionals who love working in a relaxed, but professional and well-designed environment. The role involves building customer relationships, curating in-house events, workshops and promotions, plus orchestrating our involvement with major design events such as Clerkenwell Design Week.

Daily tasks will include meeting and greeting both trade and private clients in our London showroom, as well as working on business development and strategies to bring in customers/clients. You will have the support and guidance of our friendly team in Herefordshire and our Clerkenwell-based Creative Designer and the potential to grow with the business.

**SHOWROOM ASSISTANT**
- Creating a warm and welcoming environment for clients who enter the showroom
- Must gain a strong understanding of our products, as to be able to provide crucial information for walk-ins and appointments
- Assist customers in finding the right lighting solutions for their needs, answer questions, and provide recommendations
- Visual merchandising, organizing and maintaining the showroom displays to showcase products attractively and ensure they are always clean and clear of dust
- Organising and hosting events for Designers/Architects etc. (monthly)
- General upkeep of the showroom, ensuring it is a professional and safe environment for customers and employees
- Organising all aspects and ensuring the smooth process of big events such as CDW.

**BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT**
- Business development using Capsule CRM to follow up on quotes and orders, engage customers and generate leads
- Convert engaged leads from marketing efforts into new business opportunities
- Analyse various digital and social platforms (e.g. LinkedIn) for networking and lead generation
- Attend and network at industry-specific events.
- Reaching out to potential customers to arrange CPDs and analysing previous clients to reignite communications
- Communicating with marketing to propose opportunities for campaigns depending on sales
- Knowledge of the industry/products selling to help the marketing team drive campaigns in the right direction
- Support the marketing and sales team with ad-hoc tasks
- Networking with local showrooms to encourage strong working relationships and design community around Clerkenwell

**SKILLS & EXPERIENCE**
- Previous sales experience and/or marketing
- Experience in business development
- Experience being client-facing working either within interiors or similar industries
- Passionate about interiors/design and keen to expand knowledge
- Ability to analyse trends within the market
- Superb communication skills, both written and spoken are essential
- Ability to confidentially host events and speak in front of groups
- Must be able to work independently and be highly productive
- Confident telephone manner and solution-oriented approach to customer service
- Organisation and multi-tasking, handling multiple tasks simultaneously, such as assisting customers, processing transactions, and maintaining cleanliness in the showroom.
- Proficiency in using point-of-sale (POS) systems and other software used for inventory management and customer transactions
- Knowledge of Google Analytics, CMS, WordPress or CRM systems advantageous
- The ability to use Adobe Suite is beneficial but not essential

**Job Type**: Part-time

**Salary**: £12.00-£15.00 per hour

Expected hours: 24 - 35 per week
