Quality Systems Lead

Nottingham, United Kingdom REED Engineering Full time

**Quality Systems Lead withinAutomotive Component Manufacturing**
**Nottingham**
**£32k to £45k dependant on experience + great benefits package**

**The Company**
As specialist designers and manufacturers of automotive components for some of the best-known marques in the world, and whose posters we all had on our walls when we were kids, my client has shown fantastic growth in recent times due to a boom in the luxurycar market for personalising these automotive works of art.

Utilising the latest cutting-edge technology and their wide technical expertise, they design and manufacture bespoke products and provide novel solutions to some of the largest and well-known automotive manufactures you can think of (and have probably seenon Top Gear).

Due to an impending change in the Quality team, they are looking to recruit a suitably qualified and experienced Quality Systems Lead, who will be developed into a Quality Systems Manager over the next 12 months.

**The Role**
Initially you’ll be responsible for:

- Leading, managing, maintaining and developing a range of Quality Management Systems (QMS)
- Reviewing current processes and procedures, and introducing any changes throughout the manufacturing area
- Ensuring that procedures comply with automotive standards, such as IATF 16949
- Using your problem-solving skills to mentor, coach and direct the quality team in root-cause-analysis and the foundation QMS tools
- Carrying out key supplier reviews to ensure their ability to provide the quality level and delivery times required
- Reviews of APQP and PPAP documentation from customer and external suppliers
- Undertaking any necessary training to allow for a seamless transition to Quality Systems Manager

**The Person**
This is an important role for a well-respected company with high-profile customers, so you’ll need to have certain things in your locker to be considered:

- Suitably qualified and experienced within the quality arena relating to automotive manufacture
- Experience of working to ITAF16949 standards and procedures
- Solid manufacturing know-how, as well as an enquiring mind and “do it better” mentality
- Qualifications and experience of Lead Auditing - those with VDA 6.3 would have a distinct advantage
- Knowledge and understanding of EMS system requirements and ISO14001
- Good interpersonal skills and the ability to pass on technical information to a wide audience
- Proven ability to be detail-driven and organised

Due to the depth of knowledge required, it is very unlikely that this role would suit a recent graduate.

**Please note that you must ALREADY be within a reasonable commute to Nottingha m.**
**We are not looking for those that would need to relocate**

**THE REWARDS**
In addition to working within a great company with never a dull day, plus the route-map to becoming the Quality Systems Manager within 12 months, you will be rewarded with;
- An excellent basic salary based on your skills and experience
- 33 days annual leave (25 + 8)
- Good pension
- Other benefits that befit the role
- A planned development and training program
