A fresh forward-thinking accountancy firm, small in size yet expanding year on year are looking to appoint an Accounts Semi-Senior or Bookkeeper to support with their client portfolio.

Situated at their Sunderland offices your role would entail the delivery of bookkeeping services for a number of SME and OMB across the local area. Clients will include those self-employed, Partnerships and Limited companies. The majority of accounts are on Xero and you would be managing their accounts and processing their bookkeeping monthly. This will include reconciling accounts, inputting and verifying transactions along with the relevant coding to produce a Trial Balance and quarterly VAT return. The majority of the accounts can be completed in the office but there may be one or two that require a visit to your clients site (local).

There is scope for progression which will involve the preparation of financial statutory year end accounts and year end tax returns. For those with experience from the profession this will form part of your role from the outset. Those transitioning from Industry can be taught this skill once you have adjusted to working with multiple clients and demonstrated your strong knowledge of bookkeeping.
