We have an exciting opportunity for a **Maintenance Planner** where the role includes producing planning schedules that achieve high productivity levels within Network Maintenance. The role is integral to ensuring Network Maintenance teams deliver core workloads including our Annual Maintenance Plan (AMP), Pressure Management fault workload, System Control faults and other Capital Project activities.
As a Maintenance Planner you will maintain relationships and effectively collaborate with other Planners, Network Maintenance operational personnel, and other stakeholders. You will also manage key areas of responsibility and show the ability to be able to prioritise your workload to meet individual and team targets.
Core working hours will be Monday
- Friday between the hours of 07:00 and 19:00 and full training will be given.
**Your key accountabilities and responsibilities will include**
- Creating planning schedules for E&I, Mechanical, Pipeline (inc Site Pride) workloads and understanding the scope of all workloads and what needs to be delivered
- Along with the Site Manager identify required manpower, materials, equipment, and other resources to form an accurate schedule of works
- Deliver safe, timely and cost-effective planning of all maintenance activities
- Support the execution of schedules by ensuring work orders are executed real time, progress is monitored and that potential issues are identified and reacted to so that productivity levels are maintained
- Be responsible for ensuring System Control/Dispatch faults are dealt with in a timely manner in line with company SLA’s and use MI reports to focus on key areas of importance and be able to recognise areas of concern and react accordingly
- Be able to pull together MI reports and discuss key areas of significance whilst attending regular meetings with Maintenance personnel, System Control and Pressure Management to discuss issues and findings
- Ensure orders are raised correctly with focus on data integrity and understanding the importance of this on RRP
- Understand Maintenance Strategies to be able to create, amend and deactivate where required
You will also assist and support the Maintenance Site Manager with the following
- Procurement - creating PO’s & goods receipting and securing E&R Resources for planned activities
- Arranging site access with 3rd parties and planning resource “Non-Work Time” - Training, PAT Testing, Vehicle MOT, Health Assessments etc
- Monitoring and approval of “time off” events - annual Leave, lieu time etc and standby rotas
**What we are looking for in our Maintenance Planner**
- Excellent verbal and interpersonal communication skills, to interact with individuals and groups from different discipline and levels within NGN
- Experience in using SAP S4
- An ability to understand your own role and the importance of working to objectives and standards alongside understanding team goals and priorities whilst appreciating cost implications of everyone’s actions
- Previous experience of operating MRS Scheduling Tool
- Understanding aspects of capital projects planning to enable coordination of planning works alongside our own works
