**Adecco are representing their client in the search for an electrically biased maintenance technician (mechanical duties are expected).**

Preventative maintenance on machines and equipment, as well as responding to emergency machine break downs throughout the plant.

Involvement with new design, installation and movements of existing machines.

Overhaul and repair of machines and equipment and ensuring machines and equipment on site are safe, working efficiently and fit for purpose.

**Key Duties and Responsibilities**
- Design, Promote and Carry out Preventative Maintenance
- Ensure all machines are safe and fit for purpose
- Installation of new machines and equipment
- Overhaul and upkeep and repair of all plant machines including;
- CNC Lathes / PLC
- Automatic Welding Machines
- Hydraulic Testing Machines
- Paint Spraying Equipment
- Electrical Installation
- Review and Advise on Engineering requirements and drawings
- Work with and install single phase / three phase electrical circuits
- Actively promote safe working practices
- Work with and Coordinate Contractors
- Undertake repairs and servicing to the highest standard in accordance with work requests and pre
- determined specifications
- Fault Finding, testing, and the removal or adjustment of existing fittings, fixtures and parts
- Where a detailed specification is not provided determine the cause of the fault and then undertake the most cost effective solution to remedy the defect.
- Effective Communication - keeping Management and relevant parties aware and seeking advice and assistance when required.
- Any other duty as may be required commensurate with the grading of the post and the skill of the post holder

**Essential**
- Demonstrate sound decision-making skill.
- Must have formal qualification in relevant trade
- Good Communication skills and be able to establish and maintain effective contact with staff and key partners, suppliers, contractors.
- Systematic approach to problem solving
- The ability to work as part of a team
- To be able to work on own initiative
- Ability to work with low level supervision

**Essential**:

- 17th Edition qualifications essential
- Current knowledge of relevant health and safety legislation
- PLC and CNC knowledge
- Mechanical
- Hydraulics

**Essential**:

- Time Served
- Experience of CNC / PLC equipment (Installation, overhaul and Repair)
- Work with and Install single phase/three phase electrical circuits
- Knowledge and Experience on a wide range of machines

**Desirable**:

- Experience of CNC lathes / PLC equipment
- Automatic welding machines
- Hydraulic test rigs
- Paint spraying equipment and general engineering machinery
