Here at **Hobbycraft,**we are looking for a **Category Buyer**to join the team based at our Head Office in **Christchurch. **You will join us on a **full time, permanent **basis working Monday - Friday, 9am - 5pm with 1 day working from home. In return, you will receive a **competitivesalary, plus benefits **We are also looking for an additional Buyer to join on a 9-month FTC.

**About the role**:
As our **Category Buyer,**you will have an endless supply of variety and plenty of scope to use your imagination and creativity. You’ll be sourcing and managing existing ranges, as well as researching and developing new ranges that are alignedwith our overall corporate strategy and support the development of the brand. You will be fully involved with setting retail prices and look to you to manage suppliers, always searching for fresh opportunities for promotions and incentives.

**What we're looking for in our Category Buyer**:

- Flexibility with regards to your working hours and willingness to occasionally travel both domestically and internationally as required
- A passion for our product and about putting the customer first
- Proven background as a Buyer in a retail or eCommerce setting
- Influencing, stakeholder management, negotiation skills
- Strong commercial acumen
- Forecasting and budget management experience
- Computer literacy with a working knowledge of Word, Excel and Outlook
- The ability to communicate confidently and persuasively with internal and external stakeholders
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure
