**Store Manager - Preston**:
We are opening an exciting new Loom Loft Furniture & interiors store and bistro at Trident Park, Preston Docklands in Spring 2024, and are recruiting for a Store Manager.
You will be responsible for the overall operations within the store. Your core responsibility is to drive sales across the store whilst managing and motivating your sales team.
Your Duties (but are not limited to);
- Be aware of sales on a daily/weekly basis to ensure they are in line with targets, addressing products not performing and communicating this information to other staff. Monitor, identify and promote slow selling lines to maximise sales potential. Liaising with the senior management team on how we can turnover stock.
- Manage sales and all aspects of gross profit margin. Managing controllables within the P&L.
- Delivering exceptional Customer Service; approach, acknowledge and engage every customer in your department and encouraging the rest of your team to approach customers to offer help and assistance.
- Lead by example and inspire your team to increase sales and ensure efficiency.
- Ensuring your team meets or exceeds all KPI’s and targets as set out by the management team.
- Develop an understanding of product knowledge of every item in stock in your department. Ensure this information is cascaded to all sales staff.
- Follow and be aware of current trends concerning home interiors and design. Ensure stock levels are in line with the trend and demand.
- End of day reports on the sales activity / operations of the store.
- Ensure that brand standards are maintained at all times, including POS and & third parties (deliveries).
- Liaise with Marketing to ensure all POS is current and professionally displayed, maintaining high tandards, i.e. no Sellotape is used.
- Develop product ranges and monitor the sales activity on ranges to ensure maximum efficiencies/opportunities.
- Develop excellent relationships with suppliers/agents via on site meetings, trade shows showroom visits etc. Through these excellent relationships get the most added value and opportunity on all purchases, ensuring we get the best possible deal.
- Develop and maintain excellent relations with management and staff from other stores and departments. Support them with information and guidance where needed.
- Ensuring sufficient staffing levels are monitored on the shop floor at all times in order to maintain the high levels of service and approach expected.
- Staff undertake their routine duties and conduct themselves in a professional manner.
- To ensure the highest standards of sales advice and service are delivered by all team members
- Liasing and working alongside the logistics team to ensure smooth transition of goods in and out of store and goods in I.e deliveries/customer orders/stock.
- Support customer services.
- Coordinate stock in the warehouse and loading bays. Ensuring safe storage.
- Managing back stocks to enable as much stock and ranges are visible on the shop floor.
- Control an active stocklist for all products within your department.
- Ensure that stock is displayed effectively and stock replenished according to demand, liaise with the Merchandising Manager.
- Complete relevant documentation as required. Purchase order forms, invoicing, finance and cash payments are monitored and followed up. All documentation to be passed to the relevant department.
- Maintain high standards of health and safety/housekeeping. Report any H&S or security issues immediately.
- Respond to customer complaints and comments promptly and in a professional manner.
- Participate and embrace all training opportunities presented by the company.
- Be proactive and self-motivated.
- Have strong verbal and communication skills.
- Action any other ‘reasonable’ duties required by senior management
