The Merchandising department is made up of three teamsProduct Merchandising, Merchandise Planning and Channel Merchandising who manage the buy and stock to drive sales and maximise profit. We are recruiting 2 apprentices for this role, who will cover Product Merchandising and Allocation, allowing insight towards the wider Merchandising team and an opportunity to broaden your skills throughout the apprenticeship and beyond.

As a Merchandising apprentice, you’ll support our Merchandising teams with analysis to make key buying and trading decisions, as well as optimising stock levels across our retail channels (stores, online, partners), ensuring our sales and profit targets can be met.

**_Please note, as part of our Seasalt Connected approach to ways of working, this role will be based flexibly across our Cornwall head office locations - Falmouth (primarily) and Redruth for a minimum of two days per week - and working remotely from home._**

**You’ll help us by**:
Day to day, you’ll assist in analysis such as line level forecasting based on historical sales, reviewing best seller reports, monitoring launch availability. Additionally, you’ll assist with the preparation of purchase order requirements ahead of raising Purchase Order’s.

Working with our Allocators, you’ll ensure smooth and efficient flow of stock into the warehouse and out to our stores and partners in line with required launch dates through effective replenishment, reacting to sales performance (trade), as well as preparing analysis to support decision making with regards to allocations.

Supporting our Merchandisers, you’ll work collaboratively on category and line forecasting using our line monitors, as well as preparing and analysing weekly trade figures using our Trade reports. You’ll research and prepare information as requested by the Merchandiser, using appropriate resources and providing feedback on your findings.

An apprenticeship is a great way to start your career, with the opportunity to progress into roles such as Allocator, Assistant Merchandiser, or exploring other departments within Product.

**The apprenticeship**:
As one of our Apprentices, you will be on a 2-year fixed term contract starting in September 2024. Your working hours will be 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday.

With support from your line manager and the Training & Early Career Advisor, you will be working towards a **Level 4 Buying & Merchandiser** standard. This will give you an opportunity to develop your skills and knowledge of business functions as well as gaining experience within the Buying & Merchandising departments.

We are looking at recruiting on potential and your enthusiasm to succeed. Because of this, we will be running an Assessment Day to find out more about your skills for this role. The Assessment Day for this role is taking place on**:Wednesday 10**th** July.**
