Domicilary Care Assistant

We are JSS Homecare Ltd, operating as Nurses Group Homecare in Yeovil. As a dedicated team, we take pride in offering a range of care and support services for adults requiring assistance at home. Our small yet friendly management team values quality service, reliability, and a genuine caring approach. We are currently looking to expand our team of support workers and are searching for individuals with the right values and attitude to join our Homecare service.
While previous experience in the field is not mandatory, we seek individuals with the right attitude and behaviour to align with our values. We are committed to working with you to develop the skills needed to become an excellent care worker.
Duties and Responsibilities:
The responsibilities of a Support Worker at Nurses Group Homecare include:
- Prioritizing service users' wellbeing and incorporating their wishes and preferences into care delivery.
- Contributing to the efficient functioning of the service.
- Assisting service users in maintaining connections with the local community.
- Following care plans and ensuring accurate documentation of service users' needs.
- Informing the office of any changes in service users' requirements.
- Promoting and safeguarding the welfare of individuals supported.
- Building rapport with patients, families, colleagues, and healthcare facility staff.
- Serving as a role model for other carers and representing the service positively.
- Adhering to organizational policies, procedures, and fundamental standards.
- Updating daily records for consistent, continuous care.

**Requirements**:
- Two satisfactory references.
- Eligibility to work in the UK.
- Mandatory driving license.
- Caring nature, empathy, and sensitivity to service users' needs.
- Commitment to quality care and being the best.
- Ability to treat others with dignity and respect.
- Team player with good leadership and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient in written and verbal English.
