Senior Internal Communications Consultant

**The opportunity**:
A fantastic opportunity has arisen to join the Internal Communications team as a Senior Internal Communications Consultant. Working collaboratively with both the Internal Communications team and with key stakeholders across the business, you’ll be responsible for taking a broad view to communications planning and delivery. You’ll provide expert employee communications advice and support, aligned to the Internal Communications strategy. Your focus on planning and co-ordinating communications output will deliver a joined up and consistent approach that delivers the right communication to the right audience at the right time. Ultimately, your work will help drive employee engagement and help to encourage good people management and leadership behaviours.

**What will you be doing?**
You’ll have an excellent grasp on the commercial and cultural challenges faced by the business so you can:
- Help build a robust plan of communications activity that demonstrates a planned, joined up and consistent approach to communication business strategy.
- Drive Internal Communications advice, planning, coordination, delivery and measurement that results in realistic, measurable and value-adding activity.
- Help the business define its audiences and the messages it needs to communicate.
- Consider how new channels, particularly digital ones, might change the way the business communicates to employees.
- Help create a sense of pride within the business through engaging and creative communication activities.
- Help employees to feel trust in our business, and encourage feedback/two-way communication.
Support strategic projects and play a key role in helping colleagues understand, accept and be advocates for business change
**What are we looking for?**
As a team player with project management experience and excellent networking skills, you will:
- Support the Internal Communications Business Partners, ensuring delivery of activity to time and budget against agreed objectives.
- Work collaboratively within Internal Communications to share experiences and best practice.
- Craft communications activity effectively, collaborating with colleagues from Corporate Affairs and Marketing to ensure a joined up approach that exploits any opportunities to align messaging.
- Think creatively around complex delivery requirements, have the drive, energy and confidence to innovate and have a passion for learning new things.
- Have a mature approach to measurement that uses research tools to shape activity and demonstrate its success.
- Build and utilise networks both inside and outside the business and establish effective relationships.
- Take ownership and demonstrate personal commitment to delivering for the business.
Reporting into the Head of Internal Communications, you’ll have experience of internal/change communications in large, complex companies with a track record of delivering end-to-end activity from shaping a brief to measuring results. You’ll need fantastic attention to detail, exceptional project management skills and the ability to quickly grasp and articulate key messages to different audiences. Finally, you’ll need excellent stakeholder management with the ability to build rapport, influence and challenge at all levels within the business.
